"To be a Ranger is to sense the sacred trust of upholding all that such a name means in this shrine of football. They must be true in their conception of what the Ibrox tradition seeks from them. No true Ranger has ever failed in the tradition set him." - William Struth

Merry Chris Miss

Blogger Chris Graham, in a concerted attack on the Easdales and the current board, has decided to also attack Vanguard Bears in yet another desperate attempt to group our site with the "current board".

VB released our meeting summary for one simple reason - we felt it appropriate that our readers see for themselves the answers (or lack of them), and are therefore able to make their own judgement on Stockbridge.

Unlike Chris’s cringe-worthy interviews with Alex Wilson and Scott Murdoch, where he failed to actually ask them anything of note, at least our piece wasn’t a propaganda piece dressed up as an exclusive interview.

For what it’s worth, I’m inclined to be unconvinced by Stockbridge when pressured, but no more so than I am by any of the Requisitioners, who, despite being the group under pressure to substantiate allegations and offer Shareholders and supporters a credible plan, have failed to do anything other than throw mud.

This latest piece from Graham is just another in a long line of attacks on the current board, and the "where are Charles Green’s shares" paragraph demonstrates that he is absolutely clueless when it comes to keeping a track of Rangers share movements.

Green hasn’t made any statement for a long time – to mention him now just looks like a desperate attempt to bring him back in to a game he doesn’t want to play in.

The LSE needs records of shareholdings over 3%. Green’s Shareholding of 8% must now therefor be under 3% as he is no longer counted as a major shareholder by the LSE.

To use one of the requisitioners’ propagandists favourite words, it is disingenuous to suggest that Ally McCoist has suddenly decided to proxy his vote to the East Kilbride Supporters club to vote against the board, when it is also being reported that McCoist had used his right to proxy out his vote last year upon receipt of his shares from Charles Green, and that it is therefore a general proxy.

Of course, it is reasonable to assume that his vote will be used by the supporters club against the board, but to suggest that it was a deliberate change of position is mischief making, with the ultimate irony being that by using McCoist in this way, he is left vulnerable to the current board.

It really is a despicable way to do business but nothing less than expected from one of Murray’s propagandists. When we suggested on this site that the Murrays and their pixies should try some positive engagement, we should have made it clearer. They needed to try a charm offensive, not just an offensive.

We have to keep repeating that VB are not the hurdle that the Requisitioners need to clear. For the avoidance of doubt, if we were "backing" the current board, including Stockbridge, we’d just say it.

Let’s face it, if we did, we wouldn’t get any more abuse than we already do from the propagandists, bullies and blazer-chasers that detest any Rangers fan who doesn’t just fall in to line in their campaign to secure a boardroom seat.

Being neutral allows us to make our observations without our readers believing we are like others who may have a conflict of interests.

There is no objective for Vanguard Bears other than to do the right thing for Rangers at all times, with no conditions, deals, offers of support in return for fan representation, or money-making schemes.

We also note the discord within the Rangers Supporters Trust over the last few days, with the Trust failing miserably to offer any clarity to their members, by issuing an email to all members on Sunday that failed to mention any names of any of the individuals at the centre of the allegations, or what the allegations are.

Let’s not forget, this is an organisation leading the campaign of the Requisitioners, with the requests for "clarity" from the Rangers board at its heart.

It seems that the RST likes the one rule for them and another for us approach.

Paul Murray would be best served ensuring a quick resolution to the RST issue by completely disowning them, preferably today, in a long overdue reputation damage limitation exercise.

The longer that the RST prevaricate over their own issues, the longer they will damage all those around them and any suggestion that the RST should be due a position on the board of Rangers, when they can’t even manage their own affairs doesn’t bear thinking about.
