In this article we identify the twitter user Barcabhoy1. His full name is Craig Gerald Paterson a name that won’t be familiar to a lot of the Rangers support but it will come as no great surprise that he and his twitter account is no more than being used a propagandist for his master Peter Lawwell. 

Educated at Roman Catholic school St Aloysius, which also spawned other Rangers-hating bigots like David Low, Paterson made his fortune when he sold his recruiting company Melville Craig in 2001. He stated then that he wanted to give his time to his charity as ''his other role as chairman of the diabetes research charity, Football Aid''

In this role he would move freely alongside the likes of Roger Mitchell who as it happens was the former Rangers-hating CEO of the SPL. John Kennedy the former Celtic player & now on the coaching staff & a certain Gordon Scott chairman of St Mirren football club.

These were the circles this erstwhile propagandist was mixing in. But in March 2012 Paterson or Barcabhoy1 landed what for him was his dream position. As board member of the Celtic foundation he would become a natural of Peter Lawwell who was the chairman of the trust. He says of this period: ''I served as an independent trustee of the CFC foundation. I completed a full 3 year term and switched my focus to building an international network on the Clubs behalf’'

This he did using a company called Global Celt which does not appear to have lifted off the ground despite Paterson's switch of focus.  

The issue raised is that Paterson was now in contact AND sitting on the same board of trustees as Peter Lawwell, Neil Lennon and other such prominent Celtic officials. He claimed that this was to allow him to focus his energies on building up an international network on behalf of the Club & no doubt with Lawwell's blessing & coercion. 

But it appears that rather than channelling his abilities into this, for whatever reason (or someone's coercion) he got involved with Pat McVey (aka auldheid) & the Res. 12 zealots to undermine the name & business model of Rangers FC.

Wave after wave of attack in the name of integrity & sporting integrity and any other name they could or would dream up to remove the silverware won fairly on the field of play by Rangers, this special circle within Parkhead & with Paterson in position was launched with the full support of a willing media and of course what now looks like backing from influential ''friends'' of Craig Paterson. Perhaps that is why these monotonous and often futile campaigns appeared to get more coverage than what they deserved.  As Paterson also sat on a board of trustees with the STV appeal you now begin to see how this ''placeman/puppet'' along with the obvious influence of Lawwell could whisper in the ear of a media that was often far too eager and complicit in doing their bidding. 

We have no doubt that many from the Rangers support often wondered how these trivial sporting integrity campaigns - and there were many under many different guises and different names, after each failed one after the other - was able to maximise publicity in and with the Scottish media. That begs another question as to how this was possible! The known propagandist and Lawwell associate is the vital link and mediator between Lawwell & the board & the Res. 12 zealots, as it is obvious until recently that Lawwell did not want to be seen to be publicly the one behind these campaigns?

It has been demonstrated that Craig Paterson was certainly in regular contact with other football chairmen through his charity work with Football Aid & would have the ear of chairmen of SPFL football clubs. Did he use this to influence or at least attempt to influence other Scottish clubs to back the strip the titles and other futile campaigns? 

Lawwell certainly could not be seen or even worse influence other Scottish club's to get involved & if you remember that the campaigners always said this was not a ''Celtic thing'' but was for the greater good of Scottish football. It ultimately failed because they didn't get involved or were of the mind that it did not benefit them to get involved & they quickly picked up it was actually a Celtic thing.

So now you are aware who & what is behind the twitter account Barcabhoy1. Questions must arise as to his role within Celtic FC. After 2015 when his Celtic foundation role was completed, Peter Lawwell was confident enough to appoint this man to a role of building up a global network on behalf of the Club. That obviously failed but it showed the confidence & the trust built up with Lawwell by Paterson during the 3 previous years. There is no doubt whose bidding this man is doing & does. This is evidenced on a daily basis & knowing who this man associates with then you have to wonder why he is on social media & is it for example a paid position by Celtic FC?

He is a propagandist first & foremost who defends Lawwell against dissension within his own ranks & of course attacks Rangers as much as he can. This is Craig Gerald Paterson or Barcabhoy1 as he is known on social media.
